Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find the questions that we receive most often from our customers. If your question is not answered, feel free to send us a message at [email protected]

What's the right pinball machine for me?

Pinball machines differ mainly in their design. There are EM (electromechanical) machines from the 60s/70s, EE (Early Electronics) pinball machines from the 80s and DMD (Dot Matrix) machines from '91. In the meantime there are also current devices with LCD screen. While EM pinball machines are rather recommended for collectors, the gaming fun increases considerably with the EE machines. Devices from about 1985 on inspire with ramps, music and speech. You can find out what the individual designations mean under "Types". In particular, the newer pinball machines from '91 onwards are strongly differentiated by their respective thematic focus. So families, movie, sports or music fans will find the right pinball machine for them! Just browse through our store or contact us by phone or via the contact form - we will be happy to advise you!

How long does my pinball machine last?

The short answer is: Much longer than you think! One must not forget that pinball machines were traditionally built for commercial use, are therefore particularly robust and are certainly better treated in private use. All of our pinball machines have experienced their own history over the years and are technically back in perfect condition after restoration. What our various restorations include in detail can be found under "Conditions".

Why buy from a dealer?

Especially for pinball novices without technical and electronic know-how it is recommended to buy machines from a specialist. Not only do we offer pinball machines of impeccable quality that have been restored by expert hands with a lot of passion and time - but we also continue to be there for our customers after the purchase. If you have any questions or problems, please contact us at any time so that we can help with any problems that may arise.

If you do decide to buy a pinball machine from a private seller, be sure to check the condition of the machine! Every pinball machine has other things to which it can be susceptible and so it also helps if a knowledgeable friend accompanies you during the purchase. Of course you also have the possibility to have a privately bought pinball machine repaired or restored by us.

Can I rent the pinball machine I want?

Of course! Every pinball machine in our assortment can also be rented from us. Price-wise the rent starts at 149€ for EM-devices. EEs start from 199€ and DMDs from 239€. Under "Rent a pinball machine" you can fill out the contact form with your desired pinball machine and we will make you an individual offer.

Can I have my birthday or a company party at the Pinball Factory ?

Yes, we rent the pinball hall for such events, the use of the pinball is of course included and we have enough space. Feel free to contact us and we will make you an offer.

Why do pinball prices vary so much?

Pricing pinball machines is very difficult. Even pinball machines of the same model sometimes differ very much from each other. Factors such as the technical and especially the optical condition, the basic substance, plays on the playing field, damage to the housing or plastic, the condition of the baking glass, as well as the popularity of the device affect the price. No two pinball machines are alike, which makes it impossible to find a uniform price for a device and also makes it difficult to compare prices.

Does the Pinball Factory repair equipment that was not purchased there ?

Yes, we do that, but only for electronic pinball machines from about 1979 ! You are welcome to bring your device for repair or major overhaul, within a radius of about 50km from Sörup, we also carry out repairs at your home. Please send your inquiries by mail to: [email protected]

Why does it take so long from order to delivery ?

Every pinball machine that is ordered from us is very thoroughly restored and checked, which means a lot of time. Depending on the number of currently ordered devices, a longer waiting time is therefore unavoidable. However, we are currently working on having especially popular devices in stock ready for sale, which should shorten the delivery time to 1-2 weeks.
