The Wipe Out is a Gottlieb pinball machine from the year 1993. The Gottlieb pinball machines of the early 90's are very rare in this country - which makes them popular with collectors and pinball fans.
Gottlieb was known for his clever game ideas and loving implementation of the themes. Unfortunately their marketing was less convincing and so the company went bankrupt in 1996. The Wipe Out was a real masterpiece before, however, that still inspires the player today with countless features. It is a sport - more precisely a snowboard and ski theme.
The skill shot at the beginning of the game sends the ball over the ski lift towards the piste, where the ball is first locked. If you send the second ball over the ski lift, the first ball is left on the slope and off you go! The player can tilt the whole track to the left and right and steer the ball through the obstacles!
The runway is just one of the many game features to be discovered on the Wipe Out. The player hunts down the slopes, accompanied by great game music and a commentator who follows the movements of the hero of the slopes. Have fun and a good trip!
