In 1976 the manufacturer Gottlieb produced the only pinball machine for surfing. On the back glass you can see a woman and a man surfing on a wave. The playing surface is also very well adapted to the theme of the pinball machine in its design. The playing surface is equipped with two pop bumpers, two slingshots, five star rollovers, a 5-bank drop target, a spinning target and a kick-out hole. Ed Krynski and Gordon Morison were responsible for the design and graphic layout.
The Surf Champ pinball is very popular among the EM pinball machines.
