The pinball machine was designed by Ted Zale, the artistic design was done by Jerry Kelley. The Alligator Flipper was the last pinball machine designed by Jerry Kelley. The pinball machine is equipped with two Zipper pinball fingers, which can snap together during the game, three pop bumpers, five mushroom bumpers and three slingshots.
