The Gilligans Island pinball machine is the first dot-matrix pinball machine, which came on the market in 1991. The theme is the various islands of the US TV series of the same name from the 1970s. In Germany, however, the series could not establish itself. The pinball machine is very family-friendly and therefore also gives children and inexperienced players a great feeling of success!
The rules of Gilligans Island are quickly explained: The player has to collect all ingredients for a special drink. He does this by hitting all the targets and the loops. If he has all the ingredients together, the ball must be locked (punched).
If the ball is locked, the ramp of the rotating island goes down. The player now has to hit the ramp as fast as possible and collect millions of points as a reward. If he doesn't succeed, the ramp closes again after a few seconds and it starts all over again.
The pinball machine also has a multiball mode. The special feature: the multiball does not start by skill, but by chance.
The pinball machine is playfully less demanding, but visually very beautifully implemented. The pictured device was also converted to LEDs, which optically enhances the entire Flipper. Special optical highlights are the revolving island and the volcano.
